More Pics...

So, exactly how many people does it take to make Chase smile...... Well, it depends. At noon, like in the picture above, atleast 5. However if it is 4am, as in the picture below, he can handle it on his own.

SMILE!

So, Chase has been cracking a smile or two for over a week now, but nothing predictable, and it has only been often enough that you still wonder if he knows what he's doing or not. Well this morning Jason and Grace stopped by during bathtime and Jason decided to teach Chase a turkey call - yes, only for Jason would that be the first thing that comes to mind to say to a baby. Turns out, Chase thought it was funny - that or Jason looked ridiculous to him! Who knows! Either way, I caught it.

Vegetables...

So the garden is looking pretty good this year. We only have one problem... we can't seem to remember to check the crop regularly. As you can see from the picture, the vegetables are out of control. They are almost bigger than Chase. We'll never be able to teach him to eat his vegetables if they look like that. I wouldn't eat anything as big as me either!

Father's Day

Well, life has been one big party going on 6 weeks now! It started with Mother's Day, followed hours later by Chase's birthday, then Dave's 30th Birthday on June 6, Father's Day, and will continue with our 4th anniversary next week. Fun times. Above is a picture from Father's Day. We celebrated Saturday night with an ice cream cake and gifts. Chase did a little better with the dad's day shopping than he did for the birthday - one box of moonpies that he picked up as he left the store screaming! This time he was able to get a very cool #1 Dad t-shirt and hat combo, as well as the Indiana Jones collection of dvds.

Doctor visit

The check up today went well - he's in great shape. Chase is up to a big 10lbs and 22 in. The doctor said he was "thriving" but of course that was after she called him a "pig." It's ok, he's not offended and will continue to eat as he pleases! He did have to get one shot, which I did not have to be present for, but I could hear what he thought about it from down the hall. Poor kid! He is still recovering as you can see from the picture - he's been asleep for nearly 3 hours now, ever since we left the doctor's office! Apparently next month's visit is many more shots - don't tell him!

1 month birthday!

Wow. It's hard to believe Chase is already one month old. He is getting big - he outgrew all of his newborn clothes this week. He has his one month check-up tomorrow. We took a few sports pics below. As you can see, he finds better things to look at than the camera, and by the end he was worn out!
