End of May

What a busy month! The last few weeks have been a little slow compared to the first half of the month! Here are pictures from a few random happenings...

Strawberry PickingHere are the kids picking strawberries. Yeah, not much fun. Apparently you need to be 12 years old to be capable of picking strawberries at this particular farm. They had to stay off in the "play area" which wasn't much fun either. Won't be headed back there for about 10 years or never!Eating strawberries was much more fun!

A Bee StingBryce got stung by a bee one day last week. You can see his poor little red finger holding the alligator. Chase was helping him feel better by watching a little Barney together. Good buddies!

Sesame Street Live
We took Chase to Sesame Street Live on Saturday. He had a great time.
Memorial Day

We've spent the weekend doing a bunch of things around the house. We painted the office so it looks more like a bedroom for Taylor. Seven months old and she finally gets her own room and ladybug bedding instead of her brother's leftovers! Notice Dave's nice green grass in the picture above. He's been working hard to get the yard in order this spring. We hope to have new windows and a driveway put in within the next couple of weeks. It's looking better!

Week in Review....

Get ready, you are in for a load of pictures. Dave's sister Megan was in town for the past week and if you know her, you know the week was well-documented! I have to give her credit for most of these pictures. Luckily pictures were loading super-fast this morning so I was able to get a bunch of them on here. This is a pretty complete look at what we did while she was here!

We celebrated Chase's birthday with a trip to Inflatable Palace.
We've learned that if you tell Chase to show you his laugh, you get a good smile.
If you tell him to smile, this is what you get!
Bryce going down the slide with Megan. Chase wouldn't go for it!

The boys looking at the pig... I love Bryce's face!
A SHORT day at Yorktown Beach!
(Thanks, Taylor :) She was not loving the beach this day!)

Sprout Update

About 5 minutes after the last post Chase's birthday card made it on Sprout! Megan and I were way more excited than he was. He just looked at us like we were nuts! It also turns out that Jason and Grace have Sprout and a DVR, so we might be able to get the big event on DVD.

Happy 2nd Birthday Chase!

We saw Chase's name on Sprout's list of birthday wishes on TV this morning, but we haven't seen the card yet. You can see it online at this link for a few more hours!

Chase celebrated today with a trip to Inflatable Palace and another round of birthday cake at MeMaw and PaPa's tonight. He also made a trip to the doctor this afternoon for his check-up. He is 27 lbs (25-50%) and 34 5/8 inches (50%) and doing great! He was NOT happy to be there even though he didn't get any shots.
We have a few pictures of the day but chances are they won't make it to the computer tonight!

Portraits

With Megan's help I took all 3 kids for portraits today. We were trying to get Chase's 2 years, Taylor's 6 month and a cousins shot. Well, Chase started crying first but then realized it could be fun so he decided to cooperate and did great! Taylor went first and was good for about 30 seconds. She's been grumpy ever since the doctor visit yesterday. (Note to self: Take pictures the day before shots...not after!) Bryce would have no part of any of it except eating a couple of the bribery m&m's! He did have fun watching. Somehow we ended up with some decent pictures and the occasions are considered documented!

A Visit & A Check-up

My college roommate, Melinda, came to town for a visit this past weekend. We made a day trip to the beach on Saturday when it was over 90 degrees outside and then spent Sunday freezing to death at home! Chase did help Melinda wash her car and had to change his shirt 3 times in the process. He just couldn't stay out of the water!

Taylor had her 6 month check-up yesterday. She is thinning out a little, only 17 1/2 lbs and 26 1/2 inches - 75th percentile for both. The doctor said she is doing great. Chase goes for his 2-year check-up tomorrow. I asked the doctor how many shots to expect and he said "none" so it should be a fun visit!
