On the Pontoon & Maymont

The kids had a couple of items on their summer bucket list.  One was riding on Nana & Pap's pontoon boat.
 It did not disappoint.
Checking out the fish on the "fish finder."
 Good buddies.
 Sunning and snacking girls.
 Everyone loved the water.
These three went out farther than I cared to go!  I could see all the fish nibbling around, they weren't paying attention to them!
 Jumping off the boat.
Bryce got bonus points for air and style.
Feeding the fish their lunch leftovers.
Cuddled up with the dog for the ride back.
Worn out! (not sleeping though, that would be crazy!)
We also managed to squeeze in a trip to Maymont with Kaleb and Kathryn.
These four were all about the photo ops.

I was pretty sure at least one of them would get wet, maybe even on purpose, but we managed to stay out of the water!
Can't beat an 80 degree day in August!
Good buds.  (The girls were tired, hungry, hot, etc by this point and not walking arm in arm!)

Random Summer Fun

I've been taking a few pictures here and there and then I just leave them alone and all of the sudden have 50 pictures that I've done nothing with.  These are some of the random moments from our summer:
A few weeks ago, friends of ours from Cincinnati were vacationing in Williamsburg so we went down to see them one afternoon.  Chase was thrilled that they had "their very own putt putt course" - it was exciting.  He also really like Sydnie but he kept calling her Cindy.
The guys in a heated competition.  Us ladies were also in a heated competition -  getting to the next shade tree to stay out of the heat!
Kids could care less how hot it is.  They had fun.
Always have to take a picture when these two are this close together and smiling!
As if we hadn't played enough putt putt this summer, the kids had seen this course in our spring travels around town and had been begging me to take them there.
It's about 25 min from our house and they said it was worth the drive.  I mean, it had a windmill.

Again, hot as blue blazes but they had two courses so why wouldn't you play both?!?!
 Played a little bingo.
Did a little shopping.  You can't really appreciate the fanciness of this outfit without seeing it in person.  The purse is apple red.  She's classy.
And finally, these are stolen proofs from the beach pictures we had made while in Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach

After Sandbrige, there was a brief 12 hour stop at our house to sleep and then it was off to Myrtle Beach.
Unfortunately, we took the rain that found us in Sandbridge on Friday with us to Myrtle Beach until Monday!  That didn't stop the kids though, they were swimming in the rain on Sunday.
There was an indoor area too though, so they were happy campers.
 And crafts too.
The kids got an aquarium trip in Sandbridge on Friday and Chase managed to orchestrate another trip in MB on Sunday!  Gotta make good use of the rainy days!

Cheeseburger in Paradise a.k.a. that restaurant where the strawberries wear sunglasses!

 Rainbow...see it?

Highlight of Chase's week....winning a basketball for his buddy Bryce.

 Family photos at their finest.

Someone was over the picture taking.
She shook the honey mustard...that was already open.

Chase got way brave about going out in the ocean that week!

Taylor stayed close by...almost too close most of the time!
It was a fun two weeks.  Farewell vacation 2014, you were very good to me!  Anyone want to go to the beach?!
