So I don't think I ever explained what happened with the pictures. We went to have them taken at 2 months, and although Chase wouldn't smile, we got a couple of good shots. I went to pick them up and they couldn't find them, no surprise. So I told the lady to call me when they found them and I would come back. A day later I got a message saying, the film was stuck that day and so really there were no pictures, but if I wanted to come back and have them redone, they would be happy to do that....no kidding! It's kind of hard to rewind time back to 2 months, but whatever, my wedding was a giant thunderstorm, so we've had practice handling things that just don't go our way. So we decided to go back at 3 months, he'd surely be able to smile then, right? Well, he can, and he could have, but he didn't...not once. He wasn't unhappy, just unwilling to smile. In the picture of all 3 of us, it almost looks like Chase knows what's going on. It's like he's thinking, "Is this over yet, I am so bored." Oh well, at least we got pictures this time.

Beach Trip 2

We spent part of the last week in Myrtle Beach with some of Dave's family. Chase is definitely made to vacation! He loves the beach. The ocean water is a bit cool for him, but he really liked sitting in the pool and checking things out. I'm sure we will be finding sand in his rolls for weeks to come. He is really bummed to be home - he misses all the extra attention.

A day at the beach

We took Chase to the beach for the first time this weekend. Lucky for us, it looks like he'll be quite a beach bum. He loved it. He was much more content to be at the beach than he usually is at home. We have considered moving to a hotel room if need be. We're hopeful though that his beach mindset will last. He slept for over 6 hours at one time for 2 nights in a row. I'm interested to see what happens tonight.
Oh, and by the way Chase is going to be a big COUSIN at the end of February! He can't wait.
