New Stuff

So I actually took this picture with our new video camera (great Christmas gift!) and then I posted it on our new computer (which we have had for over 6 months, and just now figured out how to work), with our faster internet (previously putting this picture up would have taken 1/2 a day). We are also hooked up with a webcam (Again, we've had for many, many months, but just figured out how to use. Thanks to cousins Jacob and Ben and their parents for the webcam.)
So before you know it we'll be posting videos too! Not there yet, but maybe soon. I can make dvds, but at this point only grandparents enjoy them. Not a lot of action!

Birthday Wishes

Happy 7th Birthday Charles East! Chase tried to hold up the sign, but he just couldn't resist eating it! We are sorry we won't be able to come to your party this weekend. We hope you have a great day and we'll see you next time we're in town. Do you recognize the pajamas? These used to be yours, of course you were running around in them. Chase isn't quite moving yet!

New Favorite Thing

So now there's something new everyday it seems. Last weekend Chase learned how to wave ... at the right time. He had been waving to himself at random times for a while, but now he's finally figured out how it really works. We've got it on video and maybe one day I'll figure out how to get the video on the blog. His new favorite activity is to sit in the floor with his toy box and pull it over and take the toys out one by one, tasting each one before throwing it to the side. It keeps him busy for a long time. He's pulled himself up to his knees from the floor a few times and tonight he stood on his own holding on to the table for about a minute. I'm sure he's going to take off any day now and that will be it. We'll never catch him!

Christmas

We have plenty of video of Chase opening gifts, but only these few pictures to show for it. He had fun playing with the paper, ribbon, and bows more than the toys.

We went in with Jason and Grace and got Mom and Dad a puppy for Christmas. We figured they couldn't be mad at all of us! It was a risky gift, but we think it was a good one. Dave was in line to inherit the dog if they didn't want it, and I think he was actually sad that they wanted to keep it. It's for the best, we can always visit. They named him Max. He is half cocker spaniel and half toy poodle - cute, and non-shedding, we hope!
