Legs...

It's been a long winter and thank goodness warm weather is coming because as you can see Chase has decided wearing clothes is not his favorite thing! These thighs have been covered up for months but have certainly not disappeared.

Megan's Photo Shoot

While Megan was visiting, I was trying to think of a good rainy-day activity and came up with the idea of taking her and Chase to get their picture taken together. Megan, always a fan of a good picture, was all about it. It got a little out of control when we had to go shopping for a coordinating outfit when the 1000+ shirts Chase already owns "didn't match." Nonetheless, it was a fun adventure. I'm pretty sure our national leaders had time to make several weighty decisions while Megan was deciding which pictures to order, but in the end it was worth it. I think the pictures came out cute. Megan, I apologize for photoshopping you out of the bottom picture, but I accidentally cut part of your head off when I scanned it and the pictures are already in the mail to you!

Megan's Visit

Here are a few pictures from Megan's visit last week. One day we went to feed the ducks and it turns out the birds were way more hungry than the ducks. Everytime I would try to back up to take a picture I would turn around and Megan was right behind me running away from the birds. (see picture 2) It was funny, but I was kind of with her on the whole bird poop on your head thing, so we didn't stay long. After the ducks, we went over to Maymont to check out the animals. This was much more fun, although it was pretty chilly. We are hoping to have warmer weather when she visits in May so we can go back.

Warm Weekend

We've enjoyed some unusually warm March weather this weekend. Dave's sister, Megan, is in town for the week so today I just had to take her to the beach....gotta do what you gotta do. We couldn't waste the good weather. It was rough, but we managed! Five hours of sunshine, cookies, sweet tea and a magazine should get us through until summertime. Of course we couldn't leave Chase out, so here's a picture of him from Saturday. He played with Megan while I cleaned all the porch furniture and put down new carpet that he can actually play on. He wore his hat all day and loved it. We were laughing at his ears sticking out, and well I guess he thought it was funny too!

TIGER

Chase got to spend the day with my mom yesterday while she was enjoying her 3rd snow day. We were all over at Jason & Grace's visiting Bryce last night and Chase was playing with a toy that he had played with earlier in the day when he visited Bryce with my mom. My mom holds up the tiger and asks Chase what it is and he says, "tiger" We were all like, "what did he just say?" So far he's saying mama, dada, hi and well, tiger. Who knows. This was the best I could get him to do today.

Snow Day

Here is Chase with his first snowman! We had about 6 inches of snow last night, enough to bring everything around to a screeching halt, so we all enjoyed a day at home in the snow. Chase took a nap and I supervised while Dave went out and built the snowman, complete with accessories. It's hard to appreciate in this picture, but he has camo apparel and shotgun shell eyes. I thought a carrot, a scarf and some rocks would have worked, but I wasn't the one doing the work!
