Thanksgiving Road Trip

Unless you're sitting around with a few spare hours and nothing to do, you might want to skip this one!  If you're bored, here's the Thanksgiving trip re-cap in a (large) nutshell!  I narrowed 194 pics down to less than 40, not too bad.
First up, another birthday celebration for Taylor!
She wouldn't even look up while we were singing to her.
More presents - her very own princess snuggie.
And some dress-up clothes.
Taking a break from presents to play some baseball.  Cincinnati weather was most-cooperative for our trip.  Cincinnati weather does not usually cooperate with much of anything!
Just a little documentation of Dave's iphone addiction for my enjoyment.  He insists he doesn't have a problem :)

Back to more presents - this time for Christmas.  Chase was loving the early celebration!
A new Minnie Mouse tricycle.  Bryce is in love with it as much as Taylor.
How many Caddell men does it take to assemble a toy grill? I have a bag of "spare parts" to justify that we still don't know the answer to that one!

Chase playing his new farm animal game that he got from Megan and Carl.
He was so excited when his cousins came over to play.  He talked about them from the time he got up until they got there late in the afternoon!
Uncle Grover carving up the ol' turkey.
 At the dinner table.
Taylor's picture taking went from good....
 to bad.....
to worse!
Charles stopped by for a visit.  He brought some of his old toys and clothes for Chase.  Chase is in love with the Miami Dolphin sleeping bag he got, but if you ask him it is "the whale team".

On the road to the next stop.  Taylor had to check in with her friends during the ride.
We went to the Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo while we were in town.  Chase was a big fan of the Rhino Nutcracker.
The weather was perfect for this night.  Cold enough for a jacket, but you never got cold or hot walking around.  We were there for nearly 3 hours,  Chase walked the whole time and Taylor, well, she was heavy!
A rare two moments when I wasn't holding her!

My view when I dared set her down on the ground!
The view when I was holding her!
 Smiling with her cousin Ben.
Grandma and Chase - you can tell it took everything in him to stop and smile for a picture.  He could have kept going all night long!
Part of the crew before we headed home.
Taylor wanted her picture taken in front of this doll house.  Proof she will smile when she wants to.
Another exciting moment!  We got to the hotel early enough on our way home for Chase to go to the pool!
It was as exciting as he thought it would be!
Taylor wasn't so sure she wanted to get in.
 Chase tried to persuade her.
Finally brave enough to step in.
And then totally regretting it!  She didn't intend to get wet and that was the end of the swim!

A sink big enough to sit on - completely exciting.
And what better way to end a trip than with a waffle that's bigger than your head!!
It was a great trip!

Thanksgiving - Take 1

We hit the road this past weekend for our first dose of turkey at my aunt and uncle's house in Baltimore.  If all goes well, we should enjoy approximately 4 Thanksgiving dinners within the week!  Sounds good to me!
Taylor did a lot of this at first.  People were trying to like look at her, and get this, even talk to her!  She eventually warmed up to everyone a little bit.
Chase and Bryce hopped right in with the older cousins.
Somehow no fingers were lost during this game.  It was a miracle.
Julie was the best hostess, even providing wagon rides over and over and over!
The trampoline was a big hit!
One happy bouncer :)
The boys table - notice the two couch-potatoes in the background in classic post-turkey position.
I love the looks on their faces.  It's like Bryce is wondering why he drove 3 hours from home just to be bothered by Taylor like always!
Family pic, minus the family.  Taylor was surely not far away.  Chase was busy having fun!

Trying out the big swing!
Chase getting a good lesson in what tackle football is like when you're not the biggest player :)

Fun Outside

The weather has been pretty nice over the last week or so and we haven't had much on the agenda, so we've spent plenty of time outside!
First up football - here are the running backs.
The princess tackler - she can be pretty vicious.

 Then there was some golfing.
They do pretty well taking turns but you have to go in the right order.
Try to go out of turn (Taylor) and you will have trouble on your hands!
She always looks like she kind of enjoys causing the trouble :)

Today we made a pile of leaves.  It was a big hit.
The leaves, of course, are no longer in a pile!
Most of the leaves ended up inside pants, jackets, and hair.
 Mostly Taylor's hair!
Here's the "I'm going to get you" face.
Getting ready to jump - notice Taylor is counting for them.
(She counts about like she keeps track of her age.  It usually goes 1,2,9,10)
 Jumping in!
