Preschool Orientation

We took Chase to check out his preschool class this week and meet his teachers.  One little sister is going to be quite jealous when she doesn't get to stay with him!

They put him right to work coloring a bumblebee to hang on the bulletin board. (Does not really look like a bumblebee yet to me...we'll see what they do with it!)
Dave was cracking me up with his picture taking.  I am camera-less so he was covering for me with his phone.  He took about 20 pictures of things like Chase's snack basket, his coat hook, his name on the birthday board, the job chart, etc.  Our 10 minutes there was well-documented!  Looking forward to see how Chase likes it next week!

Sandbridge

I really have a hard time cutting down on the pictures.  As in typical every-two-year fashion, my camera broke at the beach.  I had some pictures of my own to add to the 999 that I borrowed from my mom.  I tried to do better but there's still plenty.  I figure it's my blog and when I go to print it one day I'll be glad they're all there!  I'm kind of tired of having to get a camera for my birthday though!
A look at the neighbor's house, but more importantly our short walk to the beach!  It was nice to be so close.
Making the first trek out to the sand.  The sun did not get the memo that we were going to be in town and did not make too many appearances this past week!  It was still the beach though.
Tease all you want but the "wonder wheelie" is the greatest thing ever.  Look at Jason carrying merely a chair and two bags.  I have a week's worth of toys, chairs, clothes and food on board.
The ice cream truck figured out quickly that he should stop by pretty often.  Even Emmy got in on the action.  You can tell she could care less about a picture, she wanted the goods!
It's never good when we have bowling pictures during our beach vacation.  It has to be a pretty bad weather day to stay inside. Luckily, after bowling the rain stopped and we were back outside!
Digging in the sand!
Dave on vacation....kind of similar to Dave at home.  I think we should move to the beach.  It looks more fun in a bathing suit instead of a shirt and tie!
Mini-Dave.
 Back at the house.
With this many people sitting still you know we were waiting to go to dinner!
Yep.  Out to eat.  I love Bryce and Taylor's faces in this one.
 Shamu took a tumble.
Happy to realize that contrary to his belief it is possible to go underwater and come back up!
Wearing the kids out for bedtime.  You can see they still have plenty of energy.
Most of the gang.  MeMaw may or may not have been on the roof to take this one.
My idea of a good pool day - in the sun, but out of the water.
Proof that brothers are still annoying even after 30 years.
See...Taylor agrees.  She was not happy with Jason.

What I didn't realize until I looked at my mom's pictures...
In about 75% of them I am holding Taylor.

In the other 25% she is trying to get me to hold her!
One of the last pictures my camera took....I think 4 kids looks good on them ;)
I was picking up all of the toys off the bottom of the pool using my foot and came across this...yeah, luckily I was looking so I had Jason check it for a pulse before I picked it up as a plastic toy.  It was real.  Unfortunately there is no picture of the kids screaming as Marty threw it out of the pool up on the rocks.  They were not happy.
 My little sidekick.
Kids know that if you ask MeMaw to watch a movie before bed, she will say yes!
Taylor calls this bathing suit her "toodie"  - I guess bikini + two-piece, maybe?!
 Hanging out with Vickie.
Best feature of the house was the playroom/boys room.  You can tell they had too much fun in here!

Confirms my one obligatory trip in the ocean for the week.  It was rough, cold, and they were catching way too many fish out of it for me to stay in long!  I like the shore.
 A happier moment on Shamu.
 Best buds.
A sad moment for Shamu.  He doesn't know what's about to hit him.  Taylor won't even look.
Happy to see daddy and Shamu made it through.
Life lessons with Jason.  Today's story was "The Little Red Hen."

In the bath with the "guns" on.  Jason tried to turn the jets on with not quite enough water the first time.  That was enough to scar Taylor.  She wouldn't get near the tub unless she was sure Jason was out of the house!
 Taking Grandma for a walk.
 Mountain climbers!

 Mermaids.  We totally borrowed these.
 It was a fun vacation.
Can't wait for one more trip to the beach this year, coming up in just a few weeks!

Max & Company

Well, Max survived his week at our house.  I think Taylor might have enjoyed it more than he did but he didn't complain.  Here they are playing doll house.
You can see she gave him all the dogs because "he was our special guest."
This past weekend the Abdrabbo family passed through town.  Sharif and Dave went to law school together.  This was the second time the kids have met each other but I don't think they remember the last time.
They had a blast playing together.  They stuck close too.
I was surprised how many of my pictures had all 5 kids in them!
Max was still with us for part of their visit.  He looks as though he's thinking "maybe if I don't move, they won't know I'm here!"
 Playing a little mini golf.
 A cute little golfer.
 Ice cream party.
From left to right, Chase-4, Lexi-3, Eli-6, Taylor-2 and Maya-1.  Quite the crew.

Chase and Lexi might have liked each other a little too much!  They stuck together the whole weekend.  And if Chase liked her then Taylor did too!  It was good to see them!
