10th Anniversary Celebration

Ever since the wedding was a bit of a wash-out, we've said we would do it again for the 10th anniversary.  Well, the time came and so we celebrated.  Luckily, the weather cooperated this time!

I cannot even tell you how much fun these kids had together and they were sooooo good!
Sporting the gwkstrong shirts for a photo-op!
 The party crew.
From another angle. We had about 50 people join us.  About half of them were there for the whole week and the rest came just for part of the weekend.
 Me, Melinda and Heather.
My only request was a wedding cake for the party.  Who doesn't love some cake?
Mom and Becky hard at work.
 The Edwards crew.
Grant trying to explain how leaving just 2 sunroofs open at the wedding wasn't so bad!
Dad with his mom and siblings.
 Greg, Dave and dad.
 The Whitlock crew.
 Taylor and her daddipoo.
 Me and the bug.
Finally figured out that it was time to turn the flash on for clear pictures!
 The Comp crew.
The girls had to be dragged out of the sand - they were having too much fun!  I'm sure I'll have some more pictures to add once I gather them up from the other camera people!  It was such a fun week.

Vacation

Ironically, Friday ended with ice cream and Saturday started with it!
It was better than Chase's face appears!
We made a quick trip up to Charlottesville to see Grayson before we left for the beach.. We took a side trip to Carter's Mountain to get some peach donuts and ice cream.
All Taylor wanted was apple cider and she was happy to find some!
By Saturday evening, we made it to the beach.  I put all of our beach pictures on facebook so I tried to just pick a "few" of my favorites to put on here.
 These two played and played.
The girls weren't far behind but at least they would take a break every now and then.
Dave may have broken a chair.
 Always time for putt-putt.
I have a picture of these two in the same hole from about 4 other trips to this putt-putt course.
 Group shot.
 Happy dino putt-putters.
 Hole-in-one!
He was feeling "brave" - luckily it didn't move!
These two attempted for either matching hair or swimming suits or both most days.
A full pool.  Dave is clearly not the lifeguard on duty.
seriously?
 d.i.v.a.
Watching the fish come in at Oregon Inlet.
More putt-putt, this time just the boys!
The girls just stopped by for a visit while they were out shopping.
 Another hole-in-one!
 The golfing crew.
Back to jumping in the waves.
 Chasing seagulls with water guns.
 Watch out.
Taylor loved having some extra girls to play with.
Family dinner at the Lone Cedar.
 Go-cart fun.
And new for the boys this year, bumper cars.
The girls were happy to cheer from the sidelines!
Worn out kids!  Unfortunately, this picture was probably taken about 6 am!  The sun helped for early morning starts to our days!
Beach bum.  The kids were good to stay on the beach from about 9-4 most days with only a bathroom break here and there!
Some pool time over at the Comp casa.
The boys would have liked to move in with them.
Fishing.  Not too many exciting moments there.
There was a crowd on the beach most days.
 Trying out surfing.
He didn't stay on the board too long!
