Recently

Poor Allie had her day at the vet.  She was spayed and had her hernia fixed up.
She was knocked out!
So much so that we all felt sorry for her.  We were hopeful that the procedure might calm her down a bit but after the medicine wore off, she was back to her usual tricks!
At least I've been good!! Special delivery for me.  I'm embarrassed to say how quickly they disappeared.  Dave knows my favorite flowers ;)
Taylor FINALLY got to ride the school bus!!!
Kindergarten field trip to Maymont. She was pumped!
 Posing with her buddy.
At lunch she decided no more pictures.
I had to sneak this one!

After lunch, they decided they wanted pictures everywhere.....you'll see what I mean!

It was the perfect day for a field trip.  This ladies man in the picture is the one responsible for Taylor's special valentine!
 Back on the bus!
A little Target shopping with the cousins....in red high heels.
The beautiful weather continued for our kite flying event with church.
There just wasn't any wind!!! The kites spent most of the time on the ground!
Luckily, there was other fun to be had!

Chase got in on the flag football with the big boys.
He also managed to get the school nurse to call me to pick him up from school because he wasn't feeling well.....second time this year that a miraculous recovery has happened before we even got home!!
Not happy that I was taking a picture!
 Caught this rare moment!!
Another gymnastics session in the books.
Checking out Bryce's artwork at the Arts & Science Festival.
Emmy had to model for Taylor's "koi pond" work.  It was a no pic day for Taylor :(
She was ready for pics after she got all fancied up for her trip to see the Lion King!
Our friend Julie took her on a special date to see the show.
We gave Chase his own cultural experience while she was gone.
 He would starve to death.

 Life lessons.
Back from the show with treasures.  She loved it.
 Bath time love.
Today was the big 2nd grade musical.  Chase played the role of Abe Lincoln.  This was before the hat and beard!
Only Taylor would pick a dress to wear with her baseball hat for hat day at school.
Ready for the show.  He thought he looked like a pilgrim, not a president!
 On stage!
 After the big performance!
Picture requested in her new shirt before tennis today.

Spring Break and Such

Everyone was ready for a little spring break road trip.... even Allie.  She even got her hair poofed for the occasion.
She wasn't the only one either.  Dave introduced Chase to Sport Clips.  My job as a hairdresser are over.

He said if I learn to do the hot towel and massage then I'm back in.

No such luck buddy.  He was looking good though!

Kerry came to town for Easter weekend and to serve as Allie's personal travel companion on the road trip!  Me+2kids+1dog.....not doing that alone!!

Taylor enjoyed the introduction to FaceSwap!

Hanging out.  Allie and Kerry were meant to be together!

Easter morning checking out the basket loot!

Obligatory after-church photo.
Another!

We finally hit the road and of course, the first stop is always for Skyline.  Had to get it to go on account of the DOG!
We enjoyed a nice visit with the Shoemakers and "Little" Charles.

He's certainly not little anymore!  He's got me beat!

Allie was the perfect passenger and she loved the extra attention!

She got plenty of it!

The kids managed 2 rounds of putt-putt during the week!

And the annual Easter egg hunt is always a hit.

Allie was a little too helpful.

Grandpa may have given a few clues.

(Grandpa would appreciate if you take this moment to admire his green grass.)

 Checking out the goods!
This egg hunt pays top dollar!

Counting the cash. We asked when the adult egg hunt would be?!?

Playing some hoops!

Feeding Allie some Frosty Paws ice cream.

The annual carousel ride at the Florence mall.  Never gets old!

The kids also managed 2 trips to Chuck E. Cheese during the week!

Always a good time.

They talked Jacob and Ben into joining the fun!

Waiting for Daddy's plane to arrive!

It was a little late but he finally made it!

Jacob introduced Dave to the shooting range with a serious weapon!

Right before we left, Chase took a little mud dive.  This picture does not do the mess justice.  He was covered!

The main purpose of the entire trip was Megan's baby shower and this is the ONLY picture I have of the entire event!!!! Ahhhhh! I'm sure plenty of pictures will flood the airwaves once she gets them!

Headed home.  The week wore everyone out!

Perfect travelers!

Obligatory stop at the West Virginia indoor pool.  We keep it classy.

Allie got a bath shortly after getting home.  Wet rat look.

Grandma and Grandpa Edwards just didn't get enough of us, so they made their way to our house this past weekend.

The weather for Chase's first soccer game was COLD!!!!!

Didn't slow him down though!

He managed to score and goal and smile the whole game!

Sunday's weather improved a little so we took an afternoon trip.

Of course, Allie thinks she needs to go everywhere these days.

She met up with her buddies too.

We did a short afternoon of fishing.

Taylor's whopper!  It's on the ground, right above the !... See it?

Chase's wasn't much bigger but at least you can see it.

We gave Allie a bit of freedom.  She eventually came back.....wet and muddy and happy.

A little golf practice.

This was our neighbor's contraption....It's now on Chase's birthday list!

Teaching Grandpa how to take a picture on his new phone.  Easier said than done!

Poor Allie girl spent the day at the vet getting spayed today.  She's a sad critter tonight.  She's a lot easier to keep up with though!!!!
