Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Belated Thanksgiving. These are just a few pictures of recent times. I have zero pictures of actual Thanksgiving activities, but it was a very relaxing holiday weekend! We've raked many, many leaves and there are still many, many more.

Getting in some sort of trouble probably.

Boys. She gets them back plenty, though.

I think she is daring them to come back in this one!

It's really,

really,
really hard to get all 3 to look at once. (much less smile!)

There's the smile!
And just so Chase can forever be embarrased by this picture....
We've been about 2 weeks pull-up free and accident free - yay!
Decorating the tree. This should be followed by a picture of Taylor undecorating the tree but I didn't have time to grab the camera before I had to stop her from putting the ornaments in the trash. She LOVES to take things and put them in either the trash cans or the laundry baskets....you always know where to look when something is missing!

And I keep trying to get a picture of the 4-tooth smile, but I can't catch it quite right...getting closer though!

Santa - Take 1

Chase is very excited about Christmas this year. He was looking forward to telling Santa what he wanted and seemed pretty comfortable with the idea of sitting on his lap. So we made an early trek out to see the big guy before the long lines show up and before Chase's enthusiasm disappeared. Things were looking good as Taylor took off down the carpet with Santa's elf. As you can see, she came to a dead stop.
Didn't happen. No sitting, no list, no eye contact, no candy cane, nothing.

Finally willing to look at him, but that's about all. Maybe we went early so we could try again?

As I picked Chase up to take him to Santa he was kicking and screaming. My dad says "don't traumatize the poor kid." Ironically, there is a picture at my parents house of me at Chase's age, wearing the same dress Taylor has on, screaming my head off, while Santa is pinning me in his lap while someone (DAD!) is getting my picture taken! Grandkids have it so much better.

The happy grandkids.

And a few random pictures....

(Taylor's nose is looking much better than this these days!)
Jumping in the leaves. We have way too many leaves but Chase is loving them.

Playing with the neighbors - Chase loves having buddies next door!

An Unhappy Reindeer...

We'll get to the reindeer in a minute...Taylor got 2 shirts in the mail for her birthday. There is a bit of controversy as to which aunt(s) actually sent them!
Either way, a photoshoot was requested and I got right on it.Taylor barely able to handle the pressure of being as cute as her aunt(s)!
Ok, so right after this picture we went to lunch where Taylor had an unfortunate run in between her nose and the floor. And here is our unhappy reindeer...

She did not like my Rudolph idea.
Coincidentally though, the second shirt was Christmas-y so it was a perfect time for the next set of photos!
A better look at the damage. It is not pretty. I was sure when I scraped her off the floor that her nose was broken, but luckily not! She was back to eating chicken nuggets and keeping up with the boys (this is what landed her on the floor in the first place!) in no time!Besides her auntie, Taylor would also like her 2 front teeth for Christmas.

"I want to be a reindeer"

" I want to be a reindeer, too"
When they are not in competition for toys, or reindeer antlers, or attention they really have fun together. They were totally cracking eachother up over something!

One Year Pics & Yellow Jackets

We picked up Taylor's one-year pictures today. Unfortunately, they don't send them to you by email anymore so I had to take pictures of pictures to get them on here.

"personality"

I do not remember her sitting still at all during this experience.
I guess she did for one very brief moment.

And because you know he couldn't just sit by and watch!
And....Go Jackets!
Chase has been going to the Randolph-Macon football games this season to watch our friend Scott play. He loves going, but doesn't usually last until the end of the game. This past week was the last home game of Scott's senior year, so we went for the last part of the game so Chase could get his picture taken with him while they both had their jerseys on.He was a bit intimidated, so I had to join in the picture.
(Dave was very proud of his picture-taking skills on this one.)
He wouldn't say much to Scott while we were there but he talked
about him the whole way home!
Game day attire, minus the jacket.
It was plenty cold, but once the jacket came off for pictures it wasn't going back on easily.
I have never met a kid who hates outerwear so much!

Happy Birthday!

Happy 1st Birthday Taylor!
