I figured I'd better hurry and recap last weekend since this one is upon us already! We have Vanessa's wedding this weekend so there will surely be more pictures coming!
Grandma Edwards was in town and Chase got to do his own birthday shopping with her. He picked out a scooter and a new Wii game.
Taylor managed to sneak out with a gift of her own.
Then we had a practice birthday party. It looks like an empty plate but I promise it had cake and ice cream on it.
The first ride. Both kids are practically covered in band-aids these days. Not necessarily because of the scooter but because the new driveway is not very forgiving!
They will learn (or we will run out of band-aids.)
Taylor and her daddy on the back patio.
If you can't find Dave, look here first. It is his favorite room in the house.
Taylor giving it a try.
Saturday morning breakfast at Cracker Barrel.
Then on to soccer. Taylor found the snow cone truck a couple of weeks ago.
She could care less about watching soccer but loves going to the games.
The post-practice bow. They look worn out.
After soccer it was straight to Relay for Life. "Chase" forgot his shoes. Not good for a walking event. He had to sit and eat chips until his shoes arrived. It was rough.
Watching the first lap.
This event always brings either scorching heat or pouring rain. This year it was rain.
Taylor made friends with Jake so she could stay dry.
Jake and Shayne teaching Chase how to play lacrosse.
Chase and Grandma after their walk. Chase went around the track about 6-8 times that night.
Taylor trying to defend her turf. See her face...she is fierce.
The queen back on her throne. Don't mess with her.
Taking Grandma back to the airport on Sunday.
In less than a week we'll be back out there picking up our next guests!!
