It is cold outside. I can hardly believe that 2 days ago we were sitting on the beach and playing in the water. Thank you weather for holding out for our last beach trip of the year!
We left for Nags Head on Thursday and finally made the stop to see Grave Digger on the way there.
Chase showing off his monster muscles.
Dave will probably not approve of this pic making the blog, but it's a perfect picture of our weekend - warm sunshine and clear waters. Doesn't get better than that!
Chase relaxing on the sand.
Cheese.
Playing some baseball.
Drinking MY tea. She is too much like me. Sweet tea + Sand = Happy Mama.
Racing.
Go fish. I cannot begin to tell you how many times we've played this game in the last week.
Ready to go out on the town.
Down at Oregon Inlet checking out the catch of the day.
Finding Waldo. The kids got these books in their kid's meals on the way to the beach and they kept Dave entertained for many hours. It was actually hard to find all the people. We even cheated with internet hints to find one.
A little hopscotch.
Plenty of ice cream.
Hello, blue eyes.
Playing with Grandma.
Rough life.
We could get used to this.
Beach bums.
No beach trip is complete without a round of putt-putt.
As usual, Chase managed to get a hole-in-one!
This year he picked the pirate course - it was much more exciting than the dinosaur course of the past. Taylor, despite her unusual approach, managed to get a legitimate hole-in-one also. No kidding.
The happy golfers! Putt-putt courses are great for group shots - there is always something to balance your camera on and set the timer.
Inspired by putt-putt, Chase picked out this pirate gear as his souvenir.
Finally, one last shot of the gang as we left the beach. The guy that took this for us told me he thought the sun might have caused a glare. He was right. We (and I mean Dave) was not in a mood for picture taking so I didn't dare try to move us across the pier for a re-shoot! We have a picture that proves we were all there! It was a very relaxing trip and we were glad for one last dose of warm weather before the cold comes!
