Chase was ready to go!
Chase's alarm went off at 6:45. We heard him get out of bed and turn it off. Then we expected to hear him come running our way. Nope. He turned on his light and started getting dressed before we ever got down the hallway!
Taylor was just as excited to wake up early and go to the bus stop. Not sure why she had to take along the clay thrower thing.
They couldn't wait to leave. We were way early.
You couldn't slow him down.
Made it to the corner and waiting for the bus.
Day 1: Happy boy....remember this look, it's about to change!
He followed his friends right on the bus and never looked back!
Taylor and I joined Bryce and several others at the Children's Museum to help pass the time.
Taylor was totally fine to have Bryce all to herself!
Finally, he made it home! He said it was a great day. They had 2 recesses. Can't beat that.
We met up with Bryce later for celebratory ice cream.
On a side note, Zeke turned 1 on Monday. We sent a gift and he was thrilled.
Day 2: Not so happy about going back to school today! Ugh, poor kid (and his poor mother!!!!) I think it's mostly a combination of being tired along with a ton of new experiences and his usual fear of noise. They apparently practiced a fire drill yesterday and today is supposed to be the real thing. I sure hope that it actually happened today so he can get over it! Here's hoping that I get a happy boy off the bus in just a little bit and hoping for a better morning tomorrow!
