More Merry Christmas

We have been celebrating Christmas for about a month now. Chase asks each day if it's still Christmas time. I think we're finally about to wrap it up now. The kids will be sad to say the least! Here's the final recap:

Taylor ready to go to the Christmas Eve service at church.

Chase was dressed, but not ready to leave behind the toys to go! Notice the lost snowman has been found and is now back in our living room. Chase could not be happier.

He was finally willing to go when I told him there would be candles and he could hold one. Very exciting as you can see. Taylor did not get her candle license this year - maybe next year, but I doubt it!

Here she was hiding in the hallway saying "boo" to people as they left.

Kids finally in bed and the presents arrived.

Chase walked in the living room and said "oh look, we got pillow pets!"

We had to wake up poor Taylor and didn't even let her brush her hair before we took her picture.
One of Taylor's favorite gifts from Santa.

Chase's top gift was a football uniform. We decided to save money this year by getting a Bengals uniform. They are going cheap these days. Ok, not really, but they probably should be giving them away. It was a bit embarrassing to actually buy one!

Marty is the only family member smart enough to choose a new team to root for. His usual Redskins attire was traded in for some Patriot gear this Christmas. Maybe Chase and Dave need to follow his example!
Chase let everyone get a turn with the helmet!

Dave's best Carson Palmer impersonation....

...complete with injury.

Taylor finishing up her breakfast and getting ready for more presents.

Chase and Bryce each got a stuffed Nutzy and a new Nutzy shirt.

Taylor was not left out and got her own Nutzy and a pink Nutzy shirt!

Dave drew Vanessa's name this year and crafted her (with help!) a "Vanessa Crocker" apron to wear, as she is quite the chef these days.

Dave taking a look at his new painting of the old Hanover courthouse. It was painted by one of the students in his senior high sunday school class, which made it all the cooler!

Chase cheesin' with Vanessa and Vickie.

The kids favorite gift of the morning was gummy worms.

And more gummy worms.

And finally victory for Taylor. She snatched the bag from Grace and took off running!

It was a good day. Mostly very happy times...

And a few rough moments. Too many toys to share!

So my mom's family decided on a Chinese gift exchange this year and Dave came home with this plunger. 30 people, 30 gifts and Dave picked the box Carver brought in....he should have known better!

Chase and his new teddy bear.

Taylor playing peek-a-boo with her cousin Hannah and checking out her hair. Very jealous.

MERRY

CHRISTMAS!
