Relay for Life, Swimming & Check-ups

This past weekend was Relay for Life - earlier than usual this year and thank goodness - much cooler!
Chase couldn't wait to get on the track and run!  And Taylor was just happy to see Bryce.  They probably hadn't seen eachother in a good 18 hours!

We weren't setting any records for speed-walking, but we had a good time!

For a few months they will actually be 1, 2 and 3 - works out well when picking numbers!
Taylor's favorite part - the cookout!  She loves some dips!

Chase has learned to love the "chick-a-lay" cow, as he calls it!
More eating - cheese puffs were a new find for Taylor.
She also found Mrs. Di's secret stash of candy, hence the smile!  And Chase tried so hard to smile for this picture but too many people walking the track to look at!

The family shot before we packed up for the night.  Thanks to the endless supply of cookies, we made it until 9:15 before the kids started to crash!
It's been plenty hot for breaking out the pool this past week.
If we go outside you can guarantee they will get wet!

Chase spending a little quality time in the chair next to me....not exactly his choice! Bryce showing off his wet face - probably part of the reason Chase was sitting out!!

And we made a trip to the doctor this week for check-ups!  Chase is up to 37 inches and 34 lbs - pretty average - and Taylor is 33 inches and 24 lbs - still a little tall.  When the Dr. came in Chase quickly said "my sister will go first!"  She took it well until the shots, you can see she was not too happy with me when we left!

Megan's Collection

So I narrowed Megan's 100+ pictures from the weekend to just these few, ok more than a few, but anyways... (and in no particular order, not sure how that happened)
The boys at the ballgame.  I love Bryce's hat.
At the park, checking out the turtles.
We went down to Bottom's Up for pizza and to meet Dave for lunch.  Here they were patiently waiting to see a train.

Luckily a  train went by as we were leaving - most exciting as you can see!

 Silly girl.
 Our litttle tree frog.

 Taking a walk.
At his birthday party.  He wants to know if he can have another one...like now, please.
Back at the ballgame, having fun!
 Even a high-five for Nutzy!
 Taking a break?

Taylor wouldn't make eye contact with Jeff when he first got off the plane, but by the end of the weekend they were best buds.
 Caught climbing up stuff again!
 The many faces of Taylor.
Big Bro with the Little Sis.

                  Saying "cheese" with Aunt Meg...again.

 Checking on Goldie and Blackboard.
          (They are still alive!)

 M&M's make everyone smile!

 More faces.

Good times, good pics. Thanks Megan.

Some Days....

Taylor and I have both had our fair share of this expression over the last week!!!
She is a piece of work!

Last weekend we went to Kaleb's birthday party and the kids had their first experience with a pinata. Waiting their turn.
Taylor taking a swing at it.  She will not be left out!!
It was all good until the pinata started to bust open.
About 10 pieces of candy fell out at first....
and Chase finally figured out what to do about the time the last piece was picked up.  As you can tell, he didn't handle it too well!  We had to properly explain the pinata concept and when it broke open for the second time he was ready!
Taylor and Kathryn had no trouble pushing the boys out of the way to get some candy!
Chase couldn't wait to help Kaleb blow out his birthday candle!
Jeff and Megan came to town for Chase's birthday and Megan, as usual, has hundreds of pictures to show for it.  I have 3.  My camera broke the day after the party and so until she gets here pictures up (hint.) this is all I've got:  Jeff and his Lincoln Log village.
Megan and Chase looking for Nutzy - he never stops looking for him.
Even though he says "cheese", he never looks at the camera!
MeMaw, PaPa, Taylor and Bryce right before the camera croaked.
Luckily with the assistance of a Pampered Chef Paring Knife the camera is now back in action for the time being.  We'll see how long that lasts!
