The birthday countdown stands at just 1 day to go! The festivities began this past weekend with a visit from Grandma Edwards. (By the way, it might have been better when I could only load 5 pictures at a time. It's getting out of control!)
The gang at the airport.
Favorite activities - Sliding for Taylor and of course, basketball for the boys!
Fishing - doesn't it look like Taylor is laid back trying to get a tan while the boys fish?
Making music.
Dressing up - I asked Bryce if he got his style from his daddy. He looks like an 80's rapper to me.
Digging up dinosaur bones kept their attention the longest.
How better to end a trip to the Children's Museum than with lunch at McDonald's complete with ice cream!
The next day brought early birthday presents! Bubble guns and ...
a bike! Can't believe he's old enough for that!
Later that day we headed to the Chick-fil-a Cow Drop. We got there just in time to watch them fall!
Both kids liked the petting zoo the most. I'm sure the animals were glad to see Taylor leave. The ducks got the worst of it from her. The had to be the most patient animals on the planet!
Victory for us - a worn out little girl!! (That doesn't happen too often!)
Happy Mother's Day to me! Yeah, I picked his clothes for him :)
We took our mothers strawberry picking for a fun Mother's Day.
Chase still had the most fun!
Had to include this one... This is Dave giving me the "just listen" speech. He wanted me to close my eyes and listen to the lovely sounds of nature so that I would realize how fabulous it must be to live in the middle of nothing but fields and trees and listen to nature all the time. I kind of listened, but decided to take this goofy picture instead of closing my eyes. I haven't packed my bags to the middle-of-nowhere just yet!
Taylor slept in the van for most of our time picking strawberries. She did open her eyes and come out for a bit, but she clearly wasn't really awake!
The nice strawberry man gave Chase this coloring book to take home. This year's strawberry experience was much better than last year when the kids weren't even allowed to touch a berry!
After we got home, the kids washed my van for me as a mother's day gift. Kind of sad to me how exciting that was...a clean VAN. wow. I'm old.
The van did not get quite as clean as the kids did!
We finished off the weekend with a quick trip to Chuck E. Cheese on our way to the airport. Always a good time, unless of course Chuck actually makes an appearance! Chase asked me atleast 20 times if Chuck E. Cheese was going to come out. Luckily, we missed him!
So now that it has taken me 3 days to actually get this posted, it's practically birthday time!
More pictures soon!
