(These pictures didn't exactly load in order but I'm going to just go with it and save myself a ton of time!)
This past weekend Taylor and I took my mom with us on a road trip to Grundy, VA to visit my college roommate, Melinda. My mom took about 1.2 million pictures of Taylor on the ride. Taylor was totally ok with the attention. She enjoyed her weekend as the only child.
She, as usual, had to give Melinda her "I don't talk to strangers" face.
She quickly warmed up to her though.
Melinda took us out on a tour of the big city on Saturday.
Here we were checking out a moonshine still.

Picnic in the park.
Taylor was brave enough to ask to go on a pony ride and she actually did it!
Her pony was Charcoal.
On the playground.
Biggest news in Grundy since my last visit was the addtition of a Walmart. Melinda said it has literally been life-changing. It has a 2-story parking garage below it and when you stand inside you can see the stuff on the shelves shaking because the building is moving.
Most exciting to me was the cart-escalator. Have you ever seen such a thing? I wanted to put Taylor in the cart for the ride down but that is apparently frowned upon and they have a cart guard at the top and let's just say she could have taken me out, so we didn't try it!
Back at Melinda's celebrating her birthday!
Taylor's cake was good. (And don't try to take any!)
Taylor liked that the light switches were on her level!
Here we have the entire moonshine process. It was an educational trip.
More playgrounds!
On top of the mountain at Peaks Interstate Park.
I guess it is also known as "The Grand Canyon of the East" - who knew.
Trying to get a pic back at the school sign. Taylor was not having it.
Still not really interested.
Hanging out with some of the girls on Melinda's floor.
Headed back home. It was a fun trip. My mom only screamed outloud due to my driving twice. Not bad for 13 hours in the car - one of which was an hour "detour" up a mountain road with coal trucks. Never trust a GPS or cell phone service in the mountains.
Back at home Chase was having his own fun. He got to spend an entire day with Bryce and then it was a weekend of fun with his daddy. Here is his big catch.
Not to be outdone by his sister, he also managed to find a horse to ride!
