We have been spending much of our time outside the last few weeks. I quickly decided that with 4 kids in tow, the backyard is the perfect distance to venture. It still takes us a good 20 minutes to get everyone ready to go out!
It's been fun though. We've picked flowers.
Practiced swinging the babies. They don't understand why Emmy can't swing yet. Let's just say the baby dolls were covered in mulch by the time we went inside.
Emmy loves being outside too. So long as she's safe and buckled in where they can't get her!
You can't see Max in this picture, but I can tell by her face that she's petting a dog. Silly girl.
These boys love a sprinkler.
They are ice-cold, shivering by the time I drag them back in but they never care a bit.
Another silly face.
Slip N' Slide is the favorite activity right now.
Apparently in the middle of all the outdoor fun Chase and Taylor had to go for check-ups. They both did great and even no tears! Chase got 4 shots and a finger stick so I was impressed. Both checked out well. Chase is 39 lbs (75%) and 41" (50%) and Taylor is 28 lbs (25%) and 38" (90%).
Then it was back to the water.
Taylor likes sitting with Emmy just as much. I like putting my lawn chair beside them and drinking sweet tea. I don't get to sit long but I can't complain ;) It's a rough life.
We had to share the slip n' slide fun one day. 6 kids and one slide = tons of fun and a muddy yard! Don't worry - Emmy was still on the sidelines. The diaper bottom is Charlotte, a friend of Kaleb and Kathryn!
Making a splash!
Such buddies. They have no idea how lucky they are to have each other to play with every day. It doesn't get much better than this in their world!
We did venture out one day. We took a field trip to Burger King (obviously) with Grandma and Vickie. They had monster truck toys in the kid meals. It was heavenly.
Back home we made apple juice popsicles. They were good but not as exciting as the ice cream truck. It comes down our road way too often. I usually make a bunch of racket to cover the noise hoping they miss it. Yesterday they heard it, but not in time.
They decided to set up camp and wait so they're ready next time. We hope the nice weather continues!
