Swimming Pool & Recital & A Birthday

The kids have always liked the idea of a swimming pool in the backyard.  Last night's storm provided them with their very own Kentucky swimming pool!
I have never seen so much rain come down in such a short time.
This was just the kind of swimming pool that fits in Dave's budget!
The kids couldn't wait to "swim"!
 Chase in the deep end!
We were lucky to not have much wind at our house but we got plenty of water.  It is still standing in the yard now.
 Hours of fun.
Dave spared no expense with this pool and even gave the kids a fancy footwash!
Now on to the recital.  Taylor kept herself entertained while getting curled up.
 Dressed and ready to go.
This look is for all those people who thought she was going to act like her mama and not go on stage.  She didn't even hesitate!
I had the task of keeping 8 girls busy and neat while we waited over an hour for our turn!
Many animal crackers were eaten.
But they thought the waiting was part of the fun.
Stickers and beads keep little girls occupied for a long time!
Finally they were lined up and ready to go!
In the hallway waiting and waiting.  Only 2 wands were damaged during the wait.

She did it!  And was very excited to get flowers from her fans!
 The family with the ballerina.
 And with Grandma.

 Headed home!

Despite all the recital busyness, we couldn't forget to mention that Dave turned 35 this week!

And below is the video of recital rehearsal.  I think they did much better the day of the actual performance but they're still cute!
