Twas the Night Before...again.

Who thought it would be a good idea to start kindergarten and preschool the same year? I'm kind of wishing the milestones could be a little more spaced out.  I'm worn out!
Taylor could not be more excited about preschool, though.  We took her last week for orientation and she would have been fine to just stay then.
She did not dare talk to anyone there but I assured her teachers that one day they would be missing the quiet!  She went to bed tonight saying, "I'm so 'cited about preschool tomorrow!"
She also decided that since she's going to school, she will also ride her bike, in the street. And she will use a booster seat now, and do her own seat belt, and close and open her own door, and pack her own bag and fix her own snacks.
She is something else.
When Chase got home from school and saw her cruising around, he jumped right on too.  I'm sure he will be ready to ditch the training wheels by the weekend!

Speaking of school, it's going.  We had to call Bryce over for an emergency play date to make Day 2 end on a happy note!
Chase was happy to see him when he got off the bus.  Really, just the mornings were bad.  He was always smiling in the afternoon but he insisted he didn't like the afternoon bus ride.
Day 3 was better than day 2.  He got a bit nervous by the time the bus pulled up but he hung in there.  Day 4 was worse.  I told him I couldn't even come to the bus stop and watch anymore!  He insisted that if we did parent pick-up that school would be great.  Today we started just that and he was grinning ear to ear when Taylor and I got there to pick him up.  I'm ok with skipping the bus, so we'll keep driving and hopefully he'll keep smiling.

Now hopefully Taylor won't surprise me tomorrow and we can all get to school with no tears!!

Poor Chase (and mommy)! Buses can be scary. I'm glad he seems to be enjoying Kindergarten though. I'm sure Taylor's loving Pre-K!
