We got to visit Chase's school this morning for the Good Citizen reception. He was chosen from his class to receive the award for "RESPECT". This is all new to me, but I guess they choose a different trait for each set of awards. This was the second one of the year and the first was "responsibility" and this time was "respect".
All of the kindergarten kids - Chase was the very first one called up, I guess that's what you get when you're in kindergarten and your last name is at the beginning of the alphabet. He hopped right up though like he knew what he was doing!
His certificate and letter from his teacher.
This was the kids last week at Chuy's. Chase already requested that we go back there tonight to celebrate his good citizen award. I think they just like the ice cream!
Taylor received an award of another kind this week - her first ever antibiotic! She has a horrendous sounding cough so I kept her home from school yesterday and decided we might as well go to the doctor instead! This is the 3rd year in a row for "the cough" - last two years resulted in x-rays that said she was "fine" but this year the doc said we could skip the x-ray and just do medicine. He called it a mild walking-pneumonia. She is obviously doing just fine.
We got the kids some new Christmas pjs this week. Chase was more excited than someone should be over pjs. That, and I'm not sure he knows how to take a normal picture anymore!
Taylor liked that hers came with a matching doll gown.
She requested the baby get her own picture.
Chase also got to pick up his Upward uniform last weekend. He is ready to play. The season starts the first week of January.
