Finishing Off 2015!

I was politely reminded this afternoon (MEGAN) that I had just a few days left to get in my last blog post of 2015...no pressure!  I was also notified that I haven't had such few posts in a year since 2008.  I would guess that the number of pictures are the same, just not getting put on here in a timely manner!  With that being said, here are last month's pictures....get comfortable!!
We had to make a trip to Macy's to send official letters to Santa.
This is the only place that really gets them to him according to Taylor.
 Fun times with Allie Cupcake.
 She is quite the co-pilot.
And always ready to pose for a picture.
The kids' favorite babysitter came home from college so we had her over one night.  Taylor was beyond thrilled that they had matching outfits on that night!  She is too cool for her own good!
Dave and I went out to dinner and the kids stayed with Savannah and made a gingerbread house.
My most exciting news of the month - Allie Cupcake can no longer fit through the fence and give me a heart attack!  She's trapped now!
We took her to see Santa - this, again according to Taylor, is the "real" Santa.  The one and Bass Pro and the mall are just pretend! Speaking of Bass Pro...
the yearly Santa pic.
I put up two trees this year - just more opportunities for the dog to pull things off of them!!!! Actually, I put cards on one and ornaments on the other.  I loved having all the cards out where we could see them.  Allie had her favorites too!
December 14 finally arrived and Dave had surgery!!!! We were all happy for that day to get here and he did great!
The kids came to see him both nights he was there but Taylor would not get near him!!
She did enjoy the trip to the vending machine before they left - they were with PaPa, what would you expect!
Dave made it home by the afternoon of the 16th.  He was slow-moving but otherwise in good shape!  I was t.i.r.e.d!  My eyes will show it from here on out!  As an update to his status: He had his catheter and staples removed on the 23rd and got a great pathology report.  The cancer was contained to the prostate and they believe it is all gone.  He will have periodic blood tests to be sure it stays gone.  His first will be on January 20th.  As of today, he is doing great, just gets tired pretty easily!
At home we had to lock him up to keep Allie Cupcake from landing in his lap!  I never needed a baby gate with two kids but give me a dog and I had to get one!  It worked like a charm and is now available if anyone else needs it!
Taylor likes that Allie will occasionally slow down enough to cuddle up!
She is sweet when she is sleeping!
Taylor finished up her second session of gymnastics!
School parties - I had to run between Chase's class and Taylor's class so this was my only picture to show for the day!
 More chilling at home.
 Serious conversations.
Waiting our turn at the vet.
 The ride home....make yourself comfortable.
A little extra loving after her shots at the vet.
Christmas started early for us.  Seemed silly to just let presents sit under the tree for so long so I started letting the kids open one a day a few days early!  It was fun.
She finally gets pumped about stuff!
 Chase loves everything.
Grandma and Grandpa Edwards came to town a few days before Christmas too.
 So, more presents!
 Christmas eve photo!
Gifts from Ms. Di after the Christmas Eve service.  See Dave in the background back to normal looking status!!!
Best expression you can get out of Taylor!  It was a Claire's giftcard!
Even Allie Cupcake got a new blanket. She loved it.
Chase read us the Christmas story from the Bible before bed.
 Santa came!
Up and at 'em bright and early!  Chase woke up at 6:24, made him wait until 6:30 to get Taylor.  He came back and informed us that "she said she still needs a minute."
 A "cheese" mat for gymnastics.
 Chase's reaction.
 Taylor's reaction.
 Chase.
 Taylor.
Might be just a little happy about the situation!
Glad she asked Daddy to play Life at 7am instead of me!
Off to MeMa and PaPa's for more Christmas!  Patiently waiting.
 But not for long!!!
 Still happy.
 Playing a new game.
Another new game.  Gotta love Christmas in shorts!!
 Back home to practice gymnastics!
Me and my buddy. (and tired eyes stilllll!)
One of her favorite places to be!
 Kicking field goals.
 Sweet buds.
 Making bracelets with Emmy.
 More love.
I was apparently pretty good this year! Dave got me a super-nice diamond tennis bracelet.  I joke that I was rewarded for my excellent catheter care!
We opened gifts with the Caddells over FaceTime.  One of my gifts was a selfie-stick.  You can tell who fell in love with it immediately!
 She was a pro.
Soon enough though, it was back to this view.  The kids got kindles.  If not for the time limit feature, we may never hear from them again!
 Taking her own selfie!
 My little furry friend!
Today Chase came in to tell me he had broken the backboard with a dunk.  Not sure if I should be proud or mad?!?
We had some company for the afternoon.  Taylor kept those boys in line!
And of course, showed them how to play on the kindle!
Here's to maybe keeping up better in 2016....probably not!  By the middle of the year, when Megan has a newborn baby at home, she won't have time to be bothering me to keep up anymore!  I'll be a lost cause!  Happy New Year!
