Back to the Beach

We packed up last week for our last beach trip of the year!
I was comfortable in jeans and long-sleeve tees.  Chase jumped right in half-dressed, literally.  I hadn't put his swimming suit on him because surely he wouldn't get in the water, right?  He took his shorts off once they got wet and was happy as could be just swimming in his shirt.  Luckily, the beach is pretty empty in October!
Filling up buckets with Grandpa Edwards.

Taylor always ready to go!  She's not quite the beach bum that Chase is.  She didn't care too much for the cool breeze blowing her around, but put her in the house or the car and she was having fun!

Sadly, the go-carts were closed for the season.  Chase actually handled it pretty well.  He had been looking forward to racing again since June! Fortunately the dinosaur putt-putt was still open!
Chase had his 4th hole-in-one of the summer.  He got one each time he played.

Back to the same place in October 2011.
The putt-putt crew.  We were the only people there!

Chase ran around playing soccer without stopping just about anytime we were on the beach!  Taylor found a little dog friend the last night we were there.  She was so excited the dog stopped to let her pet him!
Chase writing his name in the sand. Maybe extra-credit for writing upside-down and backwards?  He didn't think this was as much fun as I tried to make it out to be. He scribbled just enough to get me to leave him alone so he could get back to soccer!

 Checking things out.
Taylor sitting in her favorite beach chair - my lap!
 Serious concentration going on here.
Posing with Grandma and Grandpa Edwards.
 And us.

Flying in the early morning sun before we headed home.
And one last swing in the hammock!
