First the trouble. Luckily Bryce only had 2 stripes by the time I came back in the room. Chase said they were trying to be "baseball players" - I still haven't made the connection, but I did manage to keep a somewhat serious face while getting a picture!
Cookie making is a favorite activity - each cookie gets at least double its weight in sugar and sprinkles.
These three get plenty of sugar and sprinkles too!
Dave jumped at the chance to borrow my uncle's bucket truck to trim a few tree branches. He had way too much fun and amazingly nothing fell to the ground but tree branches!
Taylor got her toenails painted for the first time this week.
She is loving the pink, but it has been a little chilly to show them off too much.
We went out to Toch-A-Truck on Saturday. I thought Taylor would have been more excited about it than Chase, but she could have cared less! At home she will sit in the car and "drive" as long as you will let her.
Unfortunately, we saw more than trucks. Rompy the dog paid the boys a surprise visit.
You can kind of tell Bryce isn't super-thrilled.
Chase was even less excited! I just showed them these pictures and now they are in Chase's room pretending to give Rompy a high-five and when one does the other will say "good job, you are brave".
Taylor liked to grab candy out of the buckets without having to wait in line or actually drive!
The whole truck-touching crew. It was fun, but we're glad it's only once a year :) It's a little crazy!
Later that afternoon we headed to Charlottesville to pick apples. First stop, as always, is donuts!
The kids look as though Rompy might jump out from behind a pumpkin or something.
I'm not sure what was going on over there!
Cheese-ing in the pumpking patch.
Taylor's biggest smile of the day - she was not in to getting her picture taken on this trip!
She looks like she might conquer the world or pole vault off the mountain.
Either is a legitimate possibility with her!
On the trail for apples. We try to pick at least a few before we head back for more donuts!
A different method of apple picking!
Final stop - pumpkins!
Taylor taking the last picture - it took MeMaw all weekend to get her settings back to normal!
