Nothing gets you out of swimming lessons like a trip to the emergency room! Taylor woke up with a fever on Wednesday so I didn't take her to swimming. By that evening, her fever got up to 104.9 so we made a quick trip to the emergency room. She only looks mad here because I was taking her picture!
They gave her more medicine when we got there and her fever was down to 101.3 by the time we left. They said it was just a summertime virus.
She didn't really mind the trip at all - popsicles, bubbles, bracelets, stickers....She was picking out her stickers here! She was feeling better by Thursday morning but still no swimming for her. In the midst of the chaos on Wednesday night, Chase got to spend the night with Bryce. He will want Taylor to be sick all the time now!
Grace took Chase to his last swimming lesson where he JUMPED in the pool! I think he was super-excited that Bryce and Emmy got to come watch him.
There was no certificate at the end of class (seriously, how hard is it to print a piece of paper to give a kid?!?!) but Grace snagged him one last ribbon!
Last night the kids got to go on their promised shopping trip for rewards. Chase got a basketball jersey and some diving torpedoes.
And Taylor got some car keys and diving rings. We went to the pool with my mom this afternoon and I will say the swimming lessons were so worth it. Chase is like a fish. He was underwater more than he was out of it! He was jumping off the side, swimming and diving for rings. Taylor was watching:)

It never fails. When I need a pick-me-up to get through the morning, looking at adorable pics of the kids with mom's commentary always does the trick!
