Myrtle Beach

We left last weekend for a week at the beach with some of Dave's family.  The group ended up totally more than 40 this year....I'm not even sure I could name them all right now.
Highlight of the trip down is the stop at the "cool" McDonalds.  They have a basketball hoop - which is genius, but I'm still glad it's not right down the road.  We'd be there all the time.

 Made it to the beach!
Chase looks forward to this week of playing with his cousins all year.
It was a rare sight to see him sitting still!
Taking a break with his daddy.
 Our little beach princess.
She was actually rather good this week.  She stayed by my side for most of the time on the beach for fear that someone might dare talk to her.
 My favorite beach hair-do.
Anytime someone tried to play a sport, Chase was right there.  Football, cornhole, frisbee, golf, you name it.
 Plenty of swimming too.
 Lessons from Megan.
Grandpa helping them find the Italian Ice!
Before we left, we checked out the Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball schedule.  Chase picked Tuesday night because they were handing out posters and there were no fireworks!
Enjoying dinner at the ballpark.
View of the field.  It was a perfect night for baseball.
I took the kids up to take their picture in front of the field and the usher offered to take a picture of all of us....he just missed the field!
Taylor and her good buddy, Kerry.
The one picture of all 10 of us!
 Sporting his new souvenirs.
 Keeping up with her brother.
The ride home with Uncle Andy.
Taylor really came out of her shell in the evenings.  She is a wild one.
 Headed out of the stadium.
 Back to the beach.
Trying to hit the soccer ball off of his head.  He said "ouch!"
 Frisbee game.
 Chillin'
"Early" morning on the beach with Grandpa.  We were usually some of the first ones down to the beach in our crew but it was usually about 10:30-11:00!
Photo op with Megan - there were plenty of these!
All the people you see standing in this picture were part of our crew.  They were trying ot orchestrate the yearly pyramid.  Chase and Taylor were just taking it all in!
I'm smart....I just take the picture!  There were too many people this year, we couldn't even stack them all up!
 The girl version!
 More relaxing.
Swimming in the lazy river.
 Happy vacationers.
The nightlife.  Grandpa was sporting the glowing mohawk but it didn't show up too well!

Merry-go-round!
This was Taylor's "crabby face" in the crab store.

There's the mohawk.
Taylor and Megan, again.

Poor Chase.  He had an unfortunate traumatizing moment with the volcano at the putt-putt course on Monday and it threw off the rest of his week.  It's a long story, but the evenings were rough on him.  He had a hard time enjoying the nightly festivities!
Taylor, on the other hand, did better the later it got.  One night she didn't come home til after 11pm. And she's 3.  I dread the teen years.
 Out to dinner.

 Making her phone calls.
 Getting a pedicure.
It was a fun trip.
And by the end of the week, we finally wore her out!

Luckily, they were both happy passengers on the way home!
Despite the fact that there were too many pictures already, I'm sure I'll have a Myrtle Beach: Part 2 once I get Megan's pictures!!
