The Rest of Spring Break

So the nice weather of spring break came to an abrupt end after Monday.  The rest of the week didn't lend itself to quite as many pictures but it was a good time.
The NCAA championship game was Monday night but after a long day we decided that it was best to record the game and stick to a decent bedtime.  Chase appeared at the bottom of the steps at exactly tip-off time saying he woke up because he was "itchy."  He then decided that since he was up, he might as well watch some of the game.  He stayed awake for more of it than we did!
Tuesday was rainy so I took the kids to the office with me to get some work done.  I let them rent Dolphin Tale 2 on the way there so they could watch it while I was working.  It worked like a charm!  Later Tuesday, Taylor had soccer practice.  Chase decided to hit some baseballs while she was practicing.  The pitcher, a.k.a. dad,  was a little off target and Chase took one to the shin.
He took it pretty well and got back up for more.
Wednesday was another blah weather day so I took the kids to paint pottery.  I'll never understand why this is so exciting to them but they love it.
Taylor painted a jewelry box and Chase painted a hamster!?!?
The kids went to my parents Wednesday afternoon for a sleepover with Bryce and Emmy.  They didn't come back until after a Stevie B's lunch on Thursday.  Also on Thursday, we said the final good-bye to white storm.
The poor truck has been sitting in the driveway nearly motionless for almost a year now.  Dave finally made the call to the kidney foundation to come and pick it up.  He couldn't be there to see it go though.
Besides pottery, the other thing on the spring break bucket list was putt-putt.  We went out between rain showers on Thursday evening and played a quick round.
Taylor had a little trouble staying on the course.
It was a good thing we had the place pretty much to ourselves.
 The "Tiger Woods" look.
 She got a hole-in-one.  I don't know how.
Chase gets a few more golf lessons when Dave is along with us.
There was a performance.  Where do they come from?
Friday we caught up on few chores around the house and then went out for slurpees on the way to the church yard sale.
The kids searched the yard sale over and came home with this gem.  It is a do-it-yourself build-a-bear type thing.  It kept them busy, together for like 30 minutes.  Winner.
The face Chase made when he found out his buddy Kaleb was at a Reds game for spring break!
Taylor has been begging to go to Chuy's for way too long now.  We finally made it there for dinner on Friday to finish off a fun week.  She took approximately 3 bites of her mini-taco and then asked for the ice cream!
